How We Can Help Your Family Achieve the Highest Level of Health
Dr. Plummer utilizes the Gonstead System of Chiropractic to assist him in being thorough and complete in locating and addressing your health concerns.
The Gonstead name refers to Dr. C.S. Gonstead, who designed this treatment system 60 years ago.
This system involves five components:
1. Visualization
Dr. Plummer is an expert at looking for subtle changes in your posture that could indicate a problem.
- Instrumentation
Gonstead doctors use a Nervoscope, which is guided down your spine to detect variances of heat along the spine. When a spinal joint has been injured, even in the past, the body will be warmer in that specific spot, much like sprained ankle is warm to the touch after injury.
- Static Palpation
This is done simply by feeling your spine while you are in a stationary position. Dr. Plummer looks for heat and swelling around the joints of your spine.
- Motion Palpation
Dr. Plummer feels your spine for restrictions or areas of excessive mobility, while asking you to move and bend in various angles.
- X-Ray Analysis
X-ray films enable Dr. Plummer to visualize the entire structure of your spine. This final step helps in evaluating your condition to determine if your problem can be helped by chiropractic care.
